After ArteFiera remains in Bologna a constellation of contemporary art exhibitions to visit in tranquility and without the rush of burn-out days.
Body Fabric 01

Until February 15, it is possible to visit in the heart of Bologna, Piazza Maggiore, at the EXtraBO venue, the solo exhibition of Simone Miccichè. Corpo Tessuto 01 is curated by Francesco Liggieri and Federica Fiumelli. The protagonists are the kefiah, an Andean cloth, and a North African fabric that are not limited to being wearable accessories. They are indeed a symbol, which contains, fold by fold, another meaning. Tradition and culture, social claims, the heritage of a people, injustices, and geopolitical imbalances.
Miccichè is a master at meticulously rendering, with close strokes, the softness, the color of the hue, the sensation of movement. The fabric is thus humanized, transforming into an envelope, into a living body.

The exhibitions in Bologna: Permanent Loss Of Signal

At the beautiful headquarters of PIETRO, you will find the exhibition of Valerio D’Angelo curated by Niccolò Giacomazzi. Open until March 15 by appointment, the exhibition impresses with its use of space, formal cleanliness, and the essentiality of the concept. An antenna that occupies almost the entire room moves in a loop searching for a signal that is slow to arrive. Fragments of now obsolete devices and opalescent filters. Then on an altar, a fallen astronaut raises his arm as if in a blessing gesture. The mystery deepens, and the narrative takes on developments that the visitor can integrate. The frescoed walls, a memory of a recent past, merge with the new developments of technological progress. The race to conquer space, an alien world, the attraction to the unknown, and the promise of a brighter future.

More Than This, the exhibition of the Venetian painters of Atelier F

The director Costantino Dorazio within the scope of art city has embraced the idea that a modern art museum like the Pinacoteca can open its spaces to contemporary art. The project started thanks to the support of the Coppola Foundation. More Than This curated by Daniele Capra stems from the training experience of the Venice Academy, particularly from Atelier F of the painter Carlo Di Raco.
Despite the pictorial outcomes being iconographically and stylistically very different, it is possible to understand, just by observing the paintings, how the artists share the same humus, being part of a community of vision.
Who are the artists? Thomas Braida, Chiara Calore, Francesco Cima, Nebojša Despotović, Jingge Dong, Beatrice Gelmetti, Chiara Peručh, Paolo Pretolani, Adelisa Selimbašić, Danilo Stojanović, Aleksander Velišček, and Maria Giovanna Zanella.
