Rome tries again with the fifth edition of Arte in Nuvola

Rome returns to having its head among Arte in Nuvola. From November 21 to 23, 2025, the capital’s art fair celebrates its fifth edition. This year too, Roma Arte in Nuvola offers a program full of exhibitions, talks, events, and performances.

The two floors of the building designed by Massimiliano Fuksas provide a backdrop to the more than 140 galleries present at the fair: a journey through artistic research of the twentieth century and more exquisitely contemporary practices.

Art in Nuvola, the exhibitions and the performances

The visitors are welcomed by the works of Gino Marotta and Mario Airò as part of two exhibitions that transform the entrance spaces. The first, curated by Andrea Viliani, the second, Between water and light, curated by the artistic director Adriana Polveroni. The Republic of Korea is the chosen guest country: a beautiful exhibition, Fever State, among the modern stands impresses the visitors.

Among the stands, the participatory installation by Giorgia Errera (1997), Referendum. Over the course of the three days, the young artist invites to fill out electoral ballots, without a specific question. Reduced to a mere gesture without concrete impact, the intervention questions the theme of participation in citizenship.

Interesting is also the ample space dedicated to photography: the series La Cura (2011) by Mario Cresci, from the National Museums of Matera and supported by the PAC, stands out.

Well-structured is also the exhibition Immagini Impossibili curated by Arianna Catania: a selection of works by over 30 international artists. The theme is to overcome the limits of the visible, experimenting with the expressive potential of the photographic medium.

The Roman galleries and the “fuori-porta” galleries

Strong participation from local galleries – Eddart, La Nuova Pesa, Francesca Antonini, z2o Sara Zanin, Andrea Festa, Studio SALES – which are joined by some very established Milanese entities, such as Dep Art Gallery, Primo Marella Gallery.

Also present are galleries with an international profile such as Tornabuoni Arte and Richard Saulton, the younger Monti 8, Basile Contemporary, the Sardinian Mancaspazio.

Solid artists, well-set-up stands, curatorial quality: some galleries have not gone unnoticed. We have selected for you those to keep an eye on.

Tornabuoni, Richard Saltoun and Eddart

For high-end works, collectors can rely on Tornabuoni Art, which this year presents a selection of protagonists of Italian art. Works by Biasi, Fontana, Pistoletto, Balla, Scheggi, along with monumental Isgrò (the largest work goes beyond 200,000). Each book is estimated at about €20-25,000.

Of great impact is also the selection by Richard Saltoun. It brings together the works of Gino Marotta, Bea Scaccia, Silvia Giambrone, and Flaminia Veronesi. An intergenerational and polymaterial dialogue to reflect on the imagery of nature and body. The range of prices is also varied: from the imposing pink dromedary by Marotta (estimate for similar works: $35-45 thousand), to the delicate mirrors by Giambrone. The pastel tangles of Veronesi’s ceramics, on the other hand, have a range from $5-1500.

Eddart by Elena Del Drago offers, among others, a female trio with works by Carla Accardi, Giosetta Fioroni – valued at 25,000 euros for a Venere from 1967 and Cappello colorato from 1968 – and Nanda Vigo.

Andrea Festa and Ex Elettofonica

Andrea Festa, Breslin Welch Scaccia

Among the most recent proposals, Andrea Festa fine art offers an interesting alternation of wall works of different techniques and formats. The painting is interrupted only by the presence of two small sculptures on plinth by Leo Orta (€4500 + VAT) and Yann Leto (€12,000 + VAT).

For those looking for good investments, we highlight the suspended and material paintings of the Brazilian Pedro Linares (€850-1500 + VAT per piece). Cyanotypic glows and dreamlike atmospheres traverse the canvases of the young Lauryn Red Welch (1991). The range varies from €3000 – €8000 depending on the piece. Also appreciated is the essential and atmospheric landscape of the South Korean Taedong Lee, offered for €2200 + VAT.

We also highlight the stand of Ex Elettrofonica, which this year won the Arte in Nuvola award with the work of Julie Polidoro. In the stand, among others, works by Agostino Iacurci, Elena Mazzi, Margherita Moscardin. Not to be overlooked is the young Venetian Arianna Marcolin who has her exhibition in the gallery.

The New Weigh, Primo Marella

La Nuova Pesa focuses on two young proposals. The two-person stand is dedicated to Sveva Angeletti (1991) who wins the Canson Prize (€3,000 in fine art materials) and Francesca Cornacchini (1991).

Highly appreciated was also the stand of the Milanese Primo Marella Gallery. On the walls, an impressive selection of some of the most engaging voices of African art. Also exhibited was the monumental After The Pandemic by Samuel Nnorom, winner of the Saatchi Art Gallery Global Art Prize for Change in 2022. The portraits of Godwin Champs are magnetic (pieces ranging from €25 to 60 thousand). At the borders between fashion, design, sculpture, and installation are the works of Joël Andrianomearisoa. Works similar to those exhibited have passed at auction with a range of €5,000-15,000 euros.

Monti 8

Among the surprises, Monti 8 this year offers a stand enriched by the two-person exhibition signed by Logan T. Sibrel and Naomi Hawksley. Small-format works encapsulate suspended scenes and moments of life, which seem to unfold before the eyes of the attentive visitor. Sibrel’s oil on canvas works have a price range around €3000 + VAT. The graffiti on paper and wool by the very young Hawsley (2000) are offered at €2700 + VAT.

With international initiatives, refined collaborations, and high-profile projects, Arte in Nuvola 2025 reveals a constant and compelling growth.

The fair is capable of attracting diverse audiences and offering quality content. The modern section continues to establish itself as the most powerful of the fair, driven by leading galleries. At the same time, the dialogue with the contemporary offers a balanced path rich in perspectives.

Arte in Nuvola 2025 thus confirms itself as an excellent stage for those who want to invest in all price ranges, intertwining modernism, contemporaneity, and innovation.
