Art Basel, the most important contemporary art fair in the world, is ready to welcome its audience in Basilea. It will be open from June 19 to 22, 2025. The anteprima reserved for professionals concluded yesterday, June 18, but hosted collections and industry professionals since June 16. We highlight it for our section on art fairs around the world.

Art Basel 2025 welcomes 291 galleries from 42 countries and is a major event for art experts from all over the world. Those who want to visit the city during those days will have to struggle to find a place to stay at reasonable prices. Many prefer to sleep outside in the neighboring cities and arrive during the day by train. The galleries that are in Basel are the ones that have weight in the market, that set trends and spot the new shooting stars.
Liste Art Fair Basel, inaugurated in 1996, in particular, is dedicated to the discovery of new talents. Photo Basel, on the other hand, is the fair where both established and emerging galleries offer Swiss and international photographic art.

Art Basel Doha
Art Basel, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) and QC+ will launch Art Basel Qatar in Doha in February 2026. The event will be held at the M7 creative hub and the Doha Design District. It integrates into the cultural vision of Qatar National Vision 2030. The fair will showcase galleries and artists from the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia. Additionally, cultural and educational activities will be offered throughout the year. The initiative aims to strengthen the network of collectors and make Doha a global hub for art. The new fair is part of the strategy of Qatar Museums led by Sheikha Al Mayassa.

She has collaborated for many years with art magazines such as Artribune, XIBT Contemporary, ArtApp, Insideart and Espoarte, preferring contemporary art in its many facets and media drifts.
