From February 19 to 22, 2025, the Grand Palais in Parigi hosted the highly anticipated edition of Art Capital.
This annual event brings together over 3,000 artists from various disciplines, offering a rich and diverse overview of contemporary art.
Born in 2006 from the union of four historic salons—the Salon des Artistes Français, the Salon Dessin Peinture à l’Eau, the Salon des Artistes Indépendants, and the Salon Comparaisons—Art Capital has established itself as an unmissable event in the European artistic landscape.
The 2025 edition marks a significant return to the Grand Palais, celebrating creativity in an emblematic location.
With an annual attendance of over 50,000 visitors, the event represents a unique platform for emerging and established artists, promoting direct encounters between creators and the public.
The inclusion of works that explore artificial intelligence and the participation of international delegations testify to Art Capital’s commitment to reflecting current and future trends in global art.
Art Capital 2025: the structure of the event
Art Capital 2025 includes:
- Exhibition of drawing and watercolor
- Exhibition of independent artists
- Comparison exhibition: 35 groups corresponding to as many sensitivities or trends of contemporary art, highlighting the comparison of styles, approaches, and techniques.
- Salon of the French artists
- In Situ: on the initiative of Bruno Madelaine, President of the Salon des Artistes Français, this new section was created, born from the desire and request of artists who wish to present “Personal Exhibitions” with one or more works.
Each of these salons has its own awards and mentions for the artists who have distinguished themselves for their skill and creativity.
The winners of Art Capital 2025
At the entrance of the Grand Palais, the artists who won the various prizes of Art Capital 2025 are displayed. There are so many prizes that it is impossible to discuss all of them here. Therefore, we have decided in the editorial office to make a selection, dictated by our taste.
One of the first that caught our eye was the Bronze Medal for the Danielle Brisson-Drucker 2025 award for the artist Eugeniya Zharaya (below).
Eugéniya Zharaya is a contemporary artist whose work has started to gain attention in the international art scene. Her works have been exhibited in renowned galleries and art spaces, contributing to solidifying her reputation in the world of contemporary art.
This growing visibility indicates a positive recognition from critics and the public.

Remy Teulier at Art Capital 2025
After winning the gold medal at the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français in 2024 with the work “Il riposo del fauno”, with the work “anche quest’anno Remy Teulier presents himself at the Salon of French artists with “La gitane” which wins the Friends’ Prize.
Remy also won a bronze in 2019 and a silver in 2022, so the sculptor is certainly not unknown to the public of this salon and the French in general. According to some sources, some of his sculptures have a value of 20,000 euros.
“The prize of the friends is part of the Société des Artistes Français. It is a gift in money, but above all a nice recognition,” Teulier explained to us.

Alexandra da Fonseca
Silver medal of this year is then for Alexandra da Fonseca with the work (below in photo) “L’ombre qui reve de lumiere”, an oil painting by the artist who had already won the bronze medal during this French artists’ salon in 2014.
Born in 1976, of Russian origin, Alexandra was an apprentice of Sergei Vorzhev and in her bio we read that she is “an artist who places her art between cultures, between Russia and France, between the calm of a dreamlike universe and the reality of an urban space. But also at the heart of art, whether it is drawing or painting.”
In addition to numerous expos in Russia, in 2000 she exhibited at the Russian Culture Center in Berlin (Germany), in 2005 and 2006 at the Russian Embassy in Washington (USA). Since moving to France in 2009, she has exhibited numerous times solo in Paris and participated in 12 group exhibitions and fairs, mainly in Paris, but also in Calvi, Sarlat, La Garenne Colombes, Montreuil, and others.
